Was there 2 weeks ago it was crappy near the road but great snow way back in the hills. I would be hitting it up again this weekend if the snow to the south wasnt so good.

Looking at heading there on Thursday right when the storm is supposed to clear. I had some feed back from some guys that were driving up the other day that there may have been at least a foot of fresh on the ground when they came through.

Default Cantwell Conditions?

Does anyone have the low down on Cantwell? I've seen some sleds at m.p. 191 and down past the Igloo, but not many. Cantwell used to be a great place to ride. Last year, and so far this year, it's not looking too great. Any info?? Thanks.

The hard part with Cantwell is it takes a lot of snow to cover all the brush. We rode the mine trail in a couple of weeks ago and were able to get above the tree line. Not bad riding once you get up high.

Thanks DWT. Guess I'll keep going to Petersville until Cantwell gets more snow. I really miss riding Cantwell, especially 196. Hopefully the big snow will hit soon.
